Our creative childcare team at Barra Lodge pulled out all the stops for our young people with an Easter Fun Day on Friday, 18 April 2025. 🌞
The Co. Cork event drove forward our H.A.V.E. Positive impact principles and raised vital funds for Glenville National School – and as promised, it was a blast! 👏
Activities included:
🌸 Nature Station: Sunflower planting, wildflower bombs, building insect hotels
🌍 Environmental Impact: Recycling bottles, cans & cardboard as well as using recycled materials for arts and crafts
🍰 Tasty Treats: Cakes baked by Barra Lodge children & biscuit decorating
🏃 Outdoor Adventures: Easter egg hunt, soccer match, garden games
🎯 Water Balloon Fundraising Challenge: Lorcan Gleeson of our Saoirse Adventure Programme volunteered to be a water balloon target in aid of the fundraising efforts. Well done Lorcan! 😆🎈
🌍 Sensory Spaces: accessible, sensory-friendly spaces were created for the young to relax and have chill time (including Slí na Síoga – Way of the Fairies). 🧚♂️
Our childcare teams and young people enjoyed a day filled with creativity, play and positive impact, making for a very Happy Easter! 🐣
